8.74sec is not a bad result, but on the other hand, the MR2 owner risks to find quite a few hot hatch drivers being faster.
We have compared the MR2 SMT with a similar midengine Toyota with manual gear; the manual is 1.07sec faster from zero to 100. To compare the two cars is interesting studying, the sequential SMT roadster looses roughly half a second in the very start and the other half a second in the shift from 1. to second gear. We are so sorry, all you “Formula One gear” fans, the “F1 MR2” is slower – like it or not.
Our 0-100km/h: 8.74sec – Toyotas claim: 8.1sec.

BRAKING
From100km/h to the complete stop at 37mtr. That is a fine result. We do not experience any fading – you might even say on the contrary. Our first braking results were 44 and 40mtr. But that is to your judgement that is why we at sportscartesting.com did the very first serious braking with the car.
