WHAT ARE THE consequences for the entire car industry after September 11? Many manufacturers say it is too early to judge finally – and in the meantime the production is reduced at many plants.

One of the sports car manufacturers that seem to have no immediate problems is German Porsche. Anton Hunger, manager of public relations and press explains:

“We find there is no reason to believe that our sales figures will not hold”, Mr Hungers says. “We are having a small reduction in sales figures in USA right now – but it is a tendency started before September 11; and not a consequence of the attack on WTC”.

“This might change if something happens” Mr. Hunger goes on, “but at the moment we find no reason to change our sales plans”.

We talk to Anton Hunger during the press meeting in Klagenfurt, Austria, launch of the Porsche 911 Targa.
