THE LATEST PORSCHE, the 2002 911 Targa gets 5 out of 5 stars in our First Drive article just published at sportscartesting.com. The Targa is based n the 911 Carrera Coupé and comes with the same engine, same gearbox and same chassis, which means boxer 6-engine, 3.6-litre bhp and a choice of 6-speed manual or 5-speed Tiptronic S. Test driver Flemming Haslund concludes:

“A fine-tuned driving machine – powerful engine, a lot of front-end grip, racing like breaks and a perfect position for the hardworking driver”.

The 911 Targa is the third 911 the team of test drivers has tested until now, and all three cars get the ultimate “5 out of 5”.

And now we are driving Porsche Targa, we supplement the article with a picture gallery of the Porsche Targas we remember, from the first blue 911 Targa from 1967 to the 1997 Targa, the first one with roof made of glass. A total of 19 historical images.

Read the whole First Drive article under the menu test & news, you will find it in the upper left side of the page.
