ASTRA COUPE 888 makes debut. Only 100 models of the stunning Vauxhall Astra 888 Coupe will be available when the car goes on sale right now. The cars are built at Triple Eight Race Engineering, the home of Vauxhall's BTCC race team, to mark the coupe's
domination in the 2001 British Touring Car Championship, when they won 25 out
of 26 rounds.
The Astra Coupe 888 is basically the same car as Vauxhall Astra Coupe Turbo and Opel Astra Coupe Turbo as it is named at the European continent. We know the car very well – a First Drive article is on its way – we know how fast it is at the Autobahn (top speed 243 km/t measured), and we know how fast it handles.
With the line of Triple Eight modifications the car must be just smashing.
