IT´S SHOWTIME THIS weekend. Three of the seasons best motorshows are open right now, 1) The Los Angeles Auto Show, 2) North American International Auto Show in Detroit, 3) Autosport 2002 in Birmingham.
All three shows unveil a verity of new sports cars:
New sports cars in LA: (among many other cars)
1. Chrysler Crossfire* – the production car
2. Jaguar S-Type R – 400 brutal horse power in a saloon
3. Nissan Z350 – the Z is back on the road
4. Honda/Acura NSX – next generation of the midengine car
5. Maserati Spyder and Coupé – Maserati´s back in the States
New sports cars in Detroit: (among other cars)
1. GM AUTOnomy* – fuel cell future looking like a sports car
2. Chevrolet SSR – the racy, sporty pick up goes into production
3. Cadillac XLR – pointing directly at MB-customers
4. Dodge Viper SRT – more power and new shape
5. Ford GT40* – the legend is back
6. Pontiac Solstice – as racy as a Honda S2000
7. Chevrolet Bel Air* – in the same lane as Ford T-Bird
8. Maserati Spyder and Coupé – Maserati´s back.
9. Saab 93-X* – new wave
New sports cars in Birmingham: (among other cars)
1. Morgan Aero 8 GT-N* – ready for FIA-racing and Le Mans
2. Westfield XTR2 – Le Mans-style with motorcycle power
3. Farboud GT* – looking like a Porsche 962
