YOU MIGHT THINK the first Mini with 200+ bhp must come from Britain. After all, only a very few will mention Germany as the Mini Tuner Country #1. Never the less – the first company to offer the new Mini with more than 200 bhp is actually German. The car is build by BMW-tuner Hartge.
Today you can order Hartge-wheels etc. to you Mini – but from January 2003 you can get your complete Hartge-Mini with 213 bhp. The £1500 under-bonnet makeover including supercharger tweaks and remapped engine management system, offers a 50 bhp boost over the regular 163 bhp Cooper S – a total of 213 bhp!
The car comes with 18-inch new wheels, sport suspension and a M3-style quad tail-pipes – regards to the BMW, the company normally builds.
