THIS FALL 99 holiday shoppers can be the first to purchase the 2004 Cadillac XLR, when this luxury roadster debuts in the 2002 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book.

The Cadillac XLR will go on sale on October 15 and Jay Spenchian, Cadillac XLR marketing director said:
”The XLR and the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book are a perfect match”.

Already in September last year, GM announced, that this formerly concept car named Evoq would go in production in late 2003. And now the time has come!

However, if you should be one of the lucky 99 who will get hold of the NM XLR Edition, you cannot put it under your Christmas tree yet, since the NM XLR first will be delivered to customers during the summer of 2003.

The preliminary production starts in January, but GM wants to make 100% sure, that the car and the quality is 100% perfect.

But you can look forward to a 4.6 litre Northstar V8 engine and expect something like 300 – 350 bhp. Further you can enjoy the retractable hardtop that in fewer than 30 seconds folds down a la the Mercedes-Benz SL.
