2. The long Audi A8

AUDI IS TO present the 5.18-m long-wheelbase version of its new A8 4.2 quattro (driven by us Friday last week) at the Detroit Motor Show (from 5th – 20th January 2003). In addition to dynamic performance, generous space and luxury qualify the A8L 4.2 quattro as the ideal luxury sedan for long-distance travel. Its wheelbase – compared with the standard version – has been increased by 130 millimetres and now measures 3074 millimetres.

With this third version Audi extends the new A8 range just a few months after this model’s initial launch.
