Motor Show Special: Porsche Cayenne

AFTER CHECKING OUT the new Porsche Cayenne at the British International Motor Show on Tuesday three keen enthusiasts rushed down to the nearby Porsche dealership in Solihull to place advance orders.

This first viewing of the Cayenne S and Turbo in the UK helped push advance orders for the first four-door vehicle from Porsche to 1,500 � worth �15 million before optional extras - since its launch was first announced two years ago in Germany.

A spokesman for Porsche UK said: "It�s been unbelievably well received. It had to be sporty to reflect Porsche principles in a different market and we�re sure it will be a huge success." World sales of the Cayenne are expected to reach 25,000 a year.
