THE CLASSIC XK style does not change with this new generation XKR Coupe and XKR Convertible; the changes are all under the skin.
The new V8 engine with 4,2 litre (previously 4,0 litre) benefits from the continuously Variable Camshaft hydraulic actuator on each inlet and is entering the 2003 model year with 300 bhp at 6.000 rpm and 420 Nm at 4.100 rpm.
The supercharged version in the XKR Jag offers now impressive 400 bhp at 6.100 rpm and 553 Nm at 3.500 rpm.
This is enough for the 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6,4 second for the XK8 and only 5,4 for the supercharged version. All XK models are electronically limited to 250 km/h.
