REMEMBER THE S4 and RS4 based on the old Audi A4? Some test drivers even named the S4 for its times BMW M3 referring to the facts, that the M3 was a little too soft in the period – and of course the fact that the S4 was sharp handling and powerful. Then make your own judgement of the RS4 with more of everything.

This was the good old days – and in Paris Audi showed they will make now a days even better. Now comes the toughest version of the current A4. With a – would you believe it – a 4.2-litre V8 344 bhp power unit the new fastest A4 will have the potential to chase the latest BMW M3. If – and that is important – the suspension is aggressive enough.

Coming test drives of the car will tell us – but perhaps the S4 is more a high speed cruiser and the true M3 chaser is a perhaps coming RS4. Notice – the new fast A4 with V8 power is name 4S and not RS4.
