Porsche Gemballa GTR Biturbo
7:32,5 – 7 minutes and 32,5 sec. is painted with big figures at the GTR Biturbo displayed at the Essen Motor Show. 7:32,5 – this is information for freaks, but if you are a member of the innercircle you now, this is the laptime at der Nordschleife, the old part of the Nürburgring racing track in Germany.
Fastest among “not-tunercars” is the Porsche 911 GT2 out of the box version from Porsche itself. With Porsche ambassador Walter Röhrl behind the wheel it takes app. 13,5 sec. more to fly one lap of 20.8 km Eiffel tarmac.
Main differences between the Porsche-Porsche and the Gemballa-Porsche are power. Breaks are big, rubber more than enough, but honestly speaking, the Porsche-Porsche breaks aren’t small – neither are the wheels.
Now we are waiting for the coming Carrera GT V10; Porsche has promised 7:30. Next is a little extra boost in the two turbos from Gemballa.
