I LOOKED AROUND this car that had just shown us how at home it was on the track as on the road. The Edonis is built on a state of the art Carbon Fibre chassis with a body of handcrafted aluminium. The structure is very strong, yet light, the Edonis weighs 1300 Kgs, and it is not a small car, but it had just proved how adept it was.
I climbed into the drivers seat; all the controls were so easily reachable. OK, I had already been out for a drive in the car as a passenger. To say that I was impressed is akin to saying that the USS Nimitz is simply big. Now it was my turn to drive. We left the Goodwood circuit, and made our way out on to the Sussex country roads.
Sitting behind the wheel, the Edonis accelerates so fast, that you feel that your seat back is about to be pushed straight through your chest and shake hands with the windscreen! Sitting in an armchair reading this, it will be all too easy to say, ”I can just imagine…” But really, I must assure you, that you cannot. There is simply no polite way of saying that. Unless you’ve tried it for yourself, you have really no idea how astonishing, and breathtaking this type of performance is. To sit in such a machine and within a few hundred metres, to have accelerated to a higher velocity than you would ever consider driving yourself in your own car, is a mind numbing experience.
