First drive: VERDICT // 4 OUT OF 5
6. VERDICT // 4 OUT OF 5

120 BHP DOESN’T make the new Fiesta Sport a racing car. We do admit, that 0-100 kmh in 9.9 sec. is almost the same sprint that made us almost faint, when the Fiesta XR2 (and Escort X3, Peugeot 205 GTI and Volkswagen Golf GTI) all were new and the hottest hatches But in 2008 you need more power and low-flying attitude to do a really hot hatch.

BUT THE HANDLING of the new Fiesta Sport is brilliant. Its steering is razor sharp, its grip so aggressive - the front end will never stop pointing exactly where you are pointing with the steering wheel. The steering is so impressive, that we are ready to give the new Ford 4 out of 5.

BUT WE ARE already longing for the coming Fiesta ST.
